Cengage Group, Cengage Work, and Ready to Hire publish research and insights focused on education, workforce development, learner outcomes, and employability. Across multiple reports and white papers, my role was to transform complex findings into clear, engaging visual communications that helped audiences understand the data and act on the insights.

This work extended beyond internal reporting — research included in these reports was covered by national outlets including Forbes, Fast Company, Inside Higher Ed, The Washington Post, Fortune, and NBC News, with coverage linking back to the full reports and press materials I designed.

This work included report layouts, data visualizations, editorial storytelling, supporting campaign graphics, animations, and digital assets that extended the reach of each report across web and social channels.

The Challenge

Research reports often contain dense information, nuanced findings, and data-heavy narratives. The challenge was to make each piece feel credible and accessible while creating a visual experience that supported skimming, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement.

Each report also needed to balance brand alignment with audience needs, whether speaking to employers, educators, workforce partners, policymakers, or internal stakeholders.

Execution

I designed editorial layouts, charts, callouts, infographics, and supporting graphics that made key findings easier to understand and more visually compelling. For digital promotion, I created social ads, animations, and campaign assets that helped amplify the reports across Cengage's web and social platforms.

I also supported A/B testing by designing variations in format, motion, and color to help identify visuals that performed more effectively. This included comparing static and animated creative, testing visual treatments, and using performance signals like impressions and click-through rates to inform future design decisions.

The work helped make Cengage's research more accessible, visually engaging, and easier to promote across digital channels. Report visuals, campaign assets, and landing page support helped drive awareness, increase engagement, and give stakeholders clearer access to insights on education, workforce development, employability, and learner outcomes.

Together, these projects strengthened how Cengage and its workforce-focused brands communicated research — helping findings reach a national audience through media coverage, and turning dense data into visual stories that were easier to understand, share, and act on.
