Cengage introduced new GenAI-powered tools designed to support students and faculty across the learning experience. The GenAI Student Assistant provides personalized, just-in-time guidance in MindTap, while AI-powered faculty dashboard insights help instructors better understand student engagement and identify opportunities for support.
My role focused on making these emerging AI experiences easier to understand. I created demo videos, UI-focused visual sequences, and supporting campaign assets that helped internal, executive, and external audiences quickly grasp how the tools work, why they matter, and how they reflect Cengage’s thoughtful approach to responsible AI in education.

Two demo videos helped introduce Cengage’s GenAI tools across student and faculty experiences, making emerging product concepts easier to understand, communicate, and build momentum around.
GenAI-Powered Student Assistant
This demo introduced the Student Assistant, a MindTap-integrated tool designed to help students build deeper understanding through personalized, just-in-time guidance without simply providing answers.
The visual story focused on making the experience feel approachable, useful, and grounded in academic integrity, helping audiences understand how GenAI can support learning while maintaining responsible guardrails.
AI-Powered Faculty Insights
This demo visualized how anonymized Student Assistant interactions could inform faculty dashboards and help instructors better understand student engagement, study habits, and support needs.
The visual story focused on translating real-time AI-powered insights into a clear faculty experience, showing how instructors could identify patterns and provide more targeted support.

I created product demo videos and supporting assets that brought the AI experiences to life through clear UI moments, thoughtful pacing, and user-centered storytelling.
For the Student Assistant, the demo showed how the tool provides personalized guidance while supporting academic integrity. For the faculty dashboard insights, the visual story focused on how anonymized, real-time student interactions could help instructors identify engagement patterns and provide more targeted support.
Across both projects, I built a flexible visual approach that could work across executive briefings, investor presentations, internal campaigns, social media, and marketing communications.

The videos and supporting visuals helped stakeholders quickly understand the value of Cengage’s GenAI tools and supported momentum around the launches.
The Student Assistant campaign contributed to awareness for a beta rollout reaching more than 5,000 students across four courses, while the AI-powered dashboard visuals supported executive briefings and investor-facing conversations. Together, the work helped make emerging edtech experiences feel clearer, more tangible, and easier to communicate.
