Through a student-led design initiative, I collaborated on creative work for local nonprofits and community-focused organizations. The initiative paired research with visual design to support projects connected to healthcare access, ecology, economic development, social services, and community outreach.
My work focused on developing identity, campaign, and environmental concepts that translated each organization’s mission into clearer, more engaging visual communication.

Selected Explorations
Alabama Regional Medical Services
A brand identity refresh for a primary care organization focused on accessible, coordinated healthcare for underserved and homeless communities..

Southern Research Center
A concept exploration for The Floating Forest, an interdisciplinary think tank space designed to blend urban views, natural materials, and a retreat-like environment for creative discussion.

Space One Eleven
A community outreach identity and campaign concept for a Birmingham arts organization focused on artist opportunities, contemporary art, and youth arts education.

The Challenge
Each organization served a distinct community need, which meant the creative work had to be thoughtful, accessible, and rooted in context. The challenge was to create design concepts that felt meaningful to each audience while respecting the mission, tone, and real-world impact of the organizations involved.
Execution
I conducted research and developed visual concepts across three nonprofit-focused projects. For Alabama Regional Medical Services, I explored a brand refresh that communicated patient-centered access, coordinated care, and support for underserved communities. For Southern Research Center, I contributed to a concept for The Floating Forest, an interdisciplinary think tank space designed to feel calm, modern, and connected to nature. For Space One Eleven, I explored identity and campaign work focused on community outreach, arts education, and public engagement.
Results
These projects helped shape my early approach to mission-driven design, research, and visual storytelling. The work strengthened my ability to translate community needs into clear creative concepts and reinforced the role design can play in making organizations feel more accessible, purposeful, and connected.
